Gets a USB Typewriter Using Apple iPad

Check out this USB typewriter at this video below, Jack Zylkin has designed a way of converting old typewriters into fantastic and unique iPad accessories. It actually works and allows you to tap out messages on the iPad.

The USB Typewriter connects over the 30 pin dock connector via a USB cable and lets you punch away on the keyboard. To get a line break you simple grab the metal lever and drag the top section to the right just like you do on old typewriters.

This is easy to install and can be fitted to most typewriters without any extra wiring. Since It’s a manual typewriter with a USB connection and  handmade, each one is different. You can buy it from Etsy and depending on which typewriter you buy, the cost varies from around $400 – $500 or you can even send your own typewriter to convert and have it made USB compatible, it’s cost $75 for a do-it-yourself kit.
